– Salt to taste
– 2 tablespoons oil
– 1 tablespoon mustard seeds
– 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
– 1 green chili, slit
– 2-3 curry leaves
– 1/2 teaspoon asafoetida (hing)
– 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
– 1/2 cup tomato, finely chopped
– 1/2 cup capsicum, finely chopped
– 1/2 cup bell pepper, finely chopped
– 1/2 cup green peas
– Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing

Preparation

1. Start by marinating the chicken pieces in a mixture of salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garlic paste, ginger paste, and 1 tablespoon of oil. Let it sit for at least 30 minutes.

2. In a separate bowl, mix together besan, rice flour, cornstarch, all-purpose flour, and water to form a thick batter. The consistency should be similar to that of a pancake batter.

3. Once the chicken is marinated, dip each piece into the batter, ensuring they are well-coated.

4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Deep-fry the coated chicken pieces until they are golden brown and crispy. Drain the excess oil on paper towels.
