How to Add a New OneDrive Account to File Explorer

OneDrive is a popular cloud storage service that allows users to store, sync, and share files across multiple devices. If you have multiple OneDrive accounts, you might want to add them all to File Explorer for easy access. In this article, we will guide you through the process of adding a new OneDrive account to File Explorer on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Step 1: Open File Explorer

First, open File Explorer on your Windows PC. You can do this by clicking on the File Explorer icon on the taskbar, or by pressing the Windows key + E on your keyboard.

Step 2: Access OneDrive Settings

Next, right-click on the OneDrive icon located on the left-hand side of the File Explorer window. A context menu will appear, and you should select “Properties” from the list.

Step 3: Click on the “Sync” Tab

Once the OneDrive Properties window opens, click on the “Sync” tab. This tab contains options for managing your OneDrive accounts and syncing settings.

Step 4: Click on “Add a OneDrive account”

Under the “Accounts” section, you will find the “Add a OneDrive account” button. Click on it to begin the process of adding a new OneDrive account to File Explorer.

Step 5: Sign in to Your OneDrive Account

In the “Sign in to OneDrive” window, enter your email address and password for the OneDrive account you want to add. If you have two-factor authentication enabled, you may need to enter a verification code as well.

Step 6: Confirm Sync Settings

After signing in, you will be prompted to choose the folders you want to sync with this OneDrive account. You can select individual folders or sync the entire OneDrive account. Once you have made your selections, click “Next” to proceed.

Step 7: Wait for Sync to Complete

OneDrive will now begin syncing the selected folders to your computer. This process may take some time, depending on the size of the folders and your internet connection speed.

Step 8: Access Your New OneDrive Account

Once the sync process is complete, you can access your new OneDrive account by clicking on the OneDrive icon on the left-hand side of the File Explorer window. Your new account will be listed alongside any existing accounts you have already added.

And that’s it! You have successfully added a new OneDrive account to File Explorer. From now on, you can easily access and manage all your OneDrive accounts from a single location.
