In this article, we will guide you through the steps to enable Internet Explorer on your Windows Server 2016 machine.

Step 1: Open Server Manager

The first step to enable Internet Explorer on Windows Server 2016 is to open Server Manager. You can do this by clicking on the Start button, typing “Server Manager” in the search box, and then pressing Enter.

Step 2: Add Internet Explorer Features

Once Server Manager is open, click on “Add roles and features” from the dashboard. This will launch the Add Roles and Features Wizard. Click “Next” to proceed.

Step 3: Select Role-based or Feature-based installation

In the “Select installation type” screen, choose “Role-based or feature-based installation” and click “Next” to continue.

Step 4: Select the server to add roles or features to

Select the server where you want to enable Internet Explorer from the list of available servers and click “Next” to proceed.

Step 5: Select Internet Explorer Features

In the “Select server roles” screen, scroll down and expand the “Web Server (IIS)” role. Then, expand the “Web Server” sub-feature and select “Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration” and “Internet Information Services (IIS) 6 Management Compatibility” features. Click “Next” to continue.

Step 6: Review and confirm installation

Review the features you have selected in the “Select features” screen. If everything looks good, click “Next” to proceed.

Step 7: Configure and install features

In the “Select features” screen, click “Next” to start the installation process. This may take a few minutes to complete.

Step 8: Enable Internet Explorer

Once the installation is complete, you can now enable Internet Explorer on your Windows Server 2016 machine. To do this, open Server Manager and navigate to “Roles” > “Web Server (IIS)” > “Management Tools” > “Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.” In the IIS Manager, right-click on the server name, select “Add Website,” and follow the prompts to create a new website. Once the website is created, you can access it using Internet Explorer by entering the server’s IP address or hostname in the browser’s address bar.
